Tensegrity Architecture Tour

The tensegrity architecture “White Rhino Ⅱ” designed by Prof. Imai and Prof. Kawaguchi was completed in May, 2017.

Tensegrity structures: the ultra lightweight structures that tensionally integrate isolated compression struts.

We, Kawaguchi lab., proposed and constructed “White Rhino Ⅰ” in Nishichiba according to examine the members’ arrangement for reducing the deformation and permitting the tension introducing by human power.

On “White Rhino Ⅱ” In Kashiwa Campus, we challenged and successfully constructed the tower-formed tensegrity framework that was enhanced the attractiveness as an unprecedented art.
