SEKISUI HOUSE – KUMA LABの主催で、ロンドンを拠点に活躍するデザイナー、Ab Rogersによる講演会を開催します。
Rogersは自身が主宰するAb Rogers Designで、色彩、動き、触覚などを取り入れた独自の手法により、詩的で機能的な空間デザインに取り組んできました。主要な文化施設からComme des Garçons Parisなどの商業施設まで、国内外で多岐にわたるプロジェクトを手がけています。
近年は、ウェルビーングやヘルスケア分野における革新的な設計にも注力。2021年には「未来の病院」のデザインでWolfson経済賞を受賞するなど、高い評価を得ています。一方で、ロイヤル・カレッジ・オブ・アートで長年に渡り教鞭を執るなど、次世代育成にも力を入れてきました。

Rogers has pursued a unique approach to poetic yet functional spatial design at his studio Ab Rogers Design, incorporating color, movement, and tactility. He has worked on a diverse range of international projects, from major cultural institutions to commercial spaces like Comme des Garçons Paris.
In recent years, Rogers has focused on innovative design in the wellbeing and healthcare sectors. In 2021, his design for “The Hospital of the Future” won the prestigious Wolfson Economics Prize. Alongside his practice, he has nurtured emerging talent through long-standing teaching roles at the Royal College of Art.
With a multifaceted background including cabinetmaking and sailing, Rogers brings a singular perspective to this lecture. Don’t miss this unique opportunity.
