Ilija Vukorep is professor at the BTU Cottbus and holding the chair for Digital Design Methods since 2006. He co-founded LOMA architecture.landscape.urbanism in 1999, a firm focused on integrating architecture, landscape, and urbanism. Between 2009 and 2011, he contributed his expertise as a visiting professor at the University of Kassel. His professional journey includes experience working in architectural firms in Japan and Spain after completing his degree.

Together with his partners, his firm has earned recognition through awards such as the German Landscape Architecture Award for Digital Innovations, the San Francisco Prize, Europan, and the AR&D Award, showcasing their prowess in digital innovation within architecture.

Prof. Vukorep’s academic and research interests are centered around computer-aided design methods and fabrication. Following the sharing of the results of a collaborative workshop conducted with the Yasushi Ikeda Laboratory of University of Tokyo,the lecture will cover some projects from his office and technical details of several machine learning techniques, from basic to advanced, showcasing research work from his chair.
