Yudai Honma is an associate professor at the Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo. He specializes in mathematical modeling, operations research, urban and architectural planning, transportation, and alternative fuels, station, and vehicles. His research has been funded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology. He serves on the officer of the Section on Location Analysis in the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences. Recently papers have been published and presented in the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Journal of Energy Engineering, and Transportation Research Board.

Current research topics of the lab. are as follows:

– Locational Optimization as a Stabilizer of Mobility-hub Design,
– Advanced Mobility Systems with Alternative Fuel Vehicles,
– Spatial Interaction Model for Trip-Chaining Behavior with a Focus on Calculation Efficiency.
