Dr. Keiichiro Taniguchi is an associate professor at The University of Tokyo.
Our primary research focuses on developing and implementing design methodologies that utilize thermal and air environment simulations to realize energy-efficient and comfortable indoor environments.
Through detailed field measurements in actual buildings, we aim to improve the accuracy of simulation-based predictions at the design stage. In parallel, we explore predictive methods that account for the inevitable uncertainties surrounding building operations.
Furthermore, recognizing the significant impact of occupant behavior on energy consumption during building use, we are developing technologies that promote behavioral change. These technologies leverage AI-driven real-time simulations under actual operating conditions to visualize thermal and air environments and support user engagement.
