To enhance the comfort, safety, and sustainability of urban and architectural spaces, it is essential to accurately understand environmental changes and implement appropriate design and control strategies accordingly. Our laboratory focuses on air, thermal, and wind environments, aiming to optimize environmental design and control by developing and applying advanced analysis techniques.
Our current research themes include:
(1) Development of simulation and sensing technologies for air, thermal, and wind environments
(2) Integration of environmental simulation and sensing based on machine learning and data science
(3) Design support for sustainable cities and buildings based on urban climate analysis
(4) Development of innovative environmental control systems and building envelopes that balance comfort and energy efficiency
(5) Wind environment prediction and control for the safe use of urban air mobility (drones)
