“Make complex structures affordable”
The presentation focuses on research proposals that
make complex structures more affordable, in terms of
design, construction & life cycle analysis. By
reinforcing the links between mechanics of materials,
structural engineering, discrete differential geometry
and LCA, new paths may be explored and building
innovations proposed.

“Sequencing structural topology”
Whereas geometry is a key aspect of the design of
surface structures is often overlooked, yet highly
influential. In this talk, we will discuss strategies for
encoding the topology of the structure into a design
space that can be explored.
